Hi Pete. I think that I have sussed how it works looking at other seats but would be interested to see pictures of your seat anyway.

Those ones by Absolutely are very nice but it off my price range and I'm wanting to create something that looks home made any way so that's good - ha ha

My race seat project is now very much on the back burner as I purchased a replica from Scootopia - one day though, once my welding is up to speed I'll go back and try.

Also I've completed stage 1 of my hub conversion by fitting my sunny hub - and what a difference it makes. No more driving miss daisy, we'll not as much.  Over the winter its stage 2 with adding a j range to the front

so you want to have an evening of building respectvie front hubs in the near future? - I can offer some warmth and a beer in my cellar!

Tempting but not sure id get it down there easily. I've built the hub already just need to fit it and centre the wheel with my collection of spacers

It's fairly easy - and if you look in recent classic scooterist there is article on it - which I read just after doing mine! I can lend you copy
