Lui Brake light switch help!

Lui Brake light switch help! - Hi, I'm trying to wire up a brake light switch on my Lui & getting nowhere fast!! I've taken a feed off the brown stator wire (4 pole) & earthed the bulb holder to the frame, the problem I'm having is the light is already lit with the pedal up! & when I press the peddle it goes off instead of illuminating when the peddle is pressed !! any help appreciated as I'm totally baffled! thanks in advance

could be the switch? what happens if you take the wires out of the switch and touch them together? from what you saying, it sounds like the light is permanently on and touching the wires together will turn brake light off.

other thing is (whilst not certain) didn't think Lui's had brake lights as standard, only on Vega's, has someone badly bodged one in?
