hi all, fitted tzr piston to the starstream engine yesterday and there is a lot of side to side movement between piston and conrod. does this need to be shimmed or is it good to leave as it is, how much side play is exceptable. cheers andy.

Just noticed this, sorry. I have such a piston in a Starstream barrel and don't have any shims in the little end.

cheers, did you have to cut anything off the bottom of piston . when my barrell is raised 2mm there is a small part of the skirt showing through inlet . not sure wether to use piston with welded holes and modified li manifold or use standard tzr piston with holes in and try a reedvalve. cheers.

Yes, the skirt was raised about 1mm if memory serves. The piston I have in at the moment has the holes welded and I have another for my reed conversion which will be altered to suit.
