Just wondering if anyone's using one and if there is a gain on a Kawasaki conversion to be had.
I already use an old school expansion, but I seem to be struggling a bit in 4th and was thinking the pipe might be not performing well (looks good though).
Thoughts or opinions please more than welcome Smile
Cheers, Gary

Thanks for the replies - appreciated.
I'll be checking the gearing first now (cheaper than a new pipe lol) and possibly going down on the front sprocket and making it more revvy.
If it works, I'll probably lose a bit of top end but be able to ride it without changing gear all the time.
Thanks again, Gary

What would be the effect of putting one of these exhausts on a standard Vega 75 please?

Would it be like putting a JL4 on a standard Li 125 Sad

Chiselspeed told me that the pipe was suitable for both 75cc and 125 and above when I bought mine.

Martin told me the pipe was designed to suit 7000 rpm so I tuned to suit but personally it's too revvy for a flimsy motor/frame as the vibes spoil the ride. Not sure what it would be like on a standard motor although I did make an expansion pipe from an auto a few years ago that was smaller volume on a Lui and it went really well compared to the standard box pipe. The Chiselspeed pipe seems all or nothing really so one day I will finally get the reed valve fitted which may smooth the power curve and give some more bottom end back.

That's interesting. Mine is sold now and I never got as far as fitting the pipe to a working machine and always wondered what it would of been like

Mine produces best power between 6,500 - 7,500 revs so the pipe is ideal then Wack. Did see a chart with similar tuning but a standard pipe - was a good 2hp down so the pipe does work!!

Thanks for the replies. My interest in this pipe emanates from the state of my original pipe.

I suspect it'll cost me a few bob to get the original pipe fixed (needs cutting open as it's badly rusted from the inside out) so my thinking was that it might be just better to shell out for a new one.
