Lui number plate
Hi all, got Lui 50CL thats been fitted with Vega rear light and number plate holder, want to fit standard Lui light, where would number plate be fitted.
Sorry to sound thick but am new owner goingback to standard build.

unfortunately the lui was never officially imported into the uk, and in italy a rear number plate was not required.
hence why most have the vega type number plate / light bracket.
there are some around for the lui, but i have not seen the back light with them (there slightly oval)
you could probably use the original light unit and get someone to make up a number plate bracket.

Thanks Daz, might have to leave it as it is then.
Looks quite good as all new parts, just really wanted to put original light on (just because I have one).
Number plate illumination would also be problem, and no brake light of course.
FYI, I bought in 1969 a 50cc Lui from Henstocks in Mansfield, from what you are saying in was probably a 'grey import', delivery was 8 weeks whereas a 75cc Vega was ex stock 1 day delivery.

i have somewhere a letter from lambretta concessionaires that is to a dealer saying that they were going to import the lui's, and that was around 1968.
