Lui - Luna headlight SORTED !!!

Hi there

I am looking for a lui-luna headlight.
To be precise the reflector is in a good shape so I am looking for the glass.

Since I am in Greece I can only check the availabitity in online stores .
If there is a headset available to your sheed or any of your local dealers pls pm me

i appreciate the fact that he does not send stuff abroad, i for one have now stopped sending stuff on ebay to italy, due to items "getting lost"

I agree with you.
If you have problems with the postal service of certain country you can exclude that country from the list.
The "UK bidders only" is completely another story .
Since Snails has made the gesture of sending me the item to Greece I will only have to pay double transort cost if I am the winning bidder .

Apart from the price it is listed as a vega headlight.
Does the lui and the vega share the same headlight or there are differences ?

The headlight unit is the same it's the rim which is diffrent, on a Lui the rim is deeper a Vega's is a smaller version of a G.P rim

I just found a mate that has both a luna and a Vega headlight . Which one is the correct one ???


He wrote me: the 50 cc lui looks round on the glass and the vega looks more square

According to Thackers they should be the same .
Is my mate mistaken because the one is only the headlight and the other is headlight & rim ?

The way i see things with the headlight is, the Lui and Vega have the same headset therefore the glass part would be the same (either the cev or aprilla unit) i feel the only diffrence is in the chrome rim. The Lui is much deeper covering more of the glass and the Vega is thinner a bit like a G.P rim only overall smaller.

Knowing Daz if there were 2 units,1 for a Vega and 1 for a Lui he would have told me 2 serial numbers. Have you seen this on Ebay now

thackers, panosK's friend is correct, there are two types of headlamp, one for the lui which is more oval and the vega one which is more oblong/ squared.
i dont reall the lui headlight having the cut out for the festoon bulb either.
obviously the rims are very much different.
the vega lamp was made by C.E.V and also Aprillia.

i thought you only wanted the part number for a c.e.v headlamp, and not both, sorry

just looked at the headlight on the link, it does look very much like a vega item, possibly one of the vespa ciao items?
shame its not a better picture, not sure if its upside down ?
some measurements might also help.

In fact the lui headlight does not have a cut for the festoon bulb.
Moreover there is an oval hole just over the bulb holder .

I finally got an aprilia headlight

nice find thats the lui headlight, with the bigger rim, looks like i was mistaken about the cutout for the festoon bulb, it was a long time ago though
