Daz H's in-frame toolbox

Daz - excuse me for being thick (I've been looking at your updated Vega project) how do you get things in and out of the frame toolbox when the tank and seat are on? Can't see a door or hatch anywhere.....

Gordon, i think it's only for all the 12v electronics to fit into.

Well blow me down, i really musn't take things literally.....

gordon, as thackers says, the box is just for the electrics, i have fitted a legsheild toolbox to fit all my other rubbish in.

OK I understand now. It's a nice neat job, I must admit I wondered how you could 12 volt a Vega and still maintain the original lines, but this looks like the answer.

I'd like to add indicators to my 1971 150 dl without making it look Indian, so far the trick has eluded me.

The way you add indicators to a 150dl and make it not look Indian is to copy what Innocenti did for the GP in the Australian market.

Good luck finding the indicators at a reasonable price though.

Hhhmm. I see what you mean, but that doesn't work for me. On the Vega it's OK, but not on the GP/dl. Mike (Karslake) told me - and others - about an Inoccenti design he had seen where the front indicators where built into the handlebars between the main headlamp casting and the the alloy gearchange/ throttle housing, as part of the handlebar curve. It would have fitted beautifully..... Making a modern version would be v expensive however.

best solution ( if you've got shrt arms and can't stick them out) is the little ones that stick off te end of the bars surely?
