Having finaly fitted the newly chromed forks along with new dampers and steering bearings, I'm now getting a clunking sound from the front end under braking and then when the brake is released. Anyone else had similar? Or could point me in a direction to solve the puzzle. I was thinking perhaps the link bushes , but they were OK before the change around Question

It could be any one of a number of things. You've checked the steering head tightness? Another cause might be the brake back plate rocking on the location lug. Quite a common issue on the larger scooters.

Mine was doing the same it was the hub back plate I jut tightens it up haven't had any problems since also my steering head kept coming loose so I took all the ball bearings out of the race and put them in individualy and tightened it all up this made a massive improvement to handling and they haven't come loose again
