Can I join your club please?

if my IT skills are working, I've had this hiding in the back of my garage for a few years and its time to get her on the road.Another new guy Photo1_zps13bb0120.jpg[/URL]" />

I’ve just started to strip it down and the 'easy bit' is proving trickier than I'd thought - I cant wait to get that centre beam on when I've had it painted! I’m having to use the drill more than the spanner and the engine bolt is seized and has stripped threads. This is definitely not one for a rustoration!

I did also pick up a complete Starstream engine e a few years ago so when I finally get it to pieces, I hope to go 125 depending on condition of internals when I get his apart.

I'm sure a steady stream of questions will start to flow from me in due course.

I'll look forward to speaking to you all over the coming months
take it easy
Mike

thanks for the welcome
I am already getting quite excited by this little project but the little is only the size of the scooter, not the job - which as I say is proving reluctant to come to pieces.
I'm hoping to get some hours in over Christmas and get it blasted.

Before this I want to weld some damper brackets onto the forks for some better suspension. Is there anyway Series 3 fork links will fit in or somewhere who sells brackets to attach dampers to the links please? If not I don't fancy my engineering skills to make some but I do have an idea.

Either way, this will keep me out of trouble over the winter. Very Happy

Mike, Daz had the ones I have on mine made up, I believe he has mentioned on here that he's thinking of getting some more done. Shocked If so, you are in luck, as they are excellent.

To be honest it looks even rustier than I remember it. Good luck with the stripping process. Have you got any ideas as to colours etc?

Cheers Ed
I'll keep an eye on here and hope Daz comes good.  I will gamble and get the brackets welded on the forks and cross the damper problem further down the line.

As for colour, part of me thinks original but then we'll look like clones of we both go out on Orange ones.  I do like the turquoise / blue colour and am inclined down this route.

p.s. that's a great avatar picture - how do you stick one on?

Good call, I've got a pillar drill and reckon I can do that. What is best or who sells these? Is it a series 3? Off a starstream or something else?

Daz is the man for axles as previously mentioned Very Happy
series 3 GP/TV/SX top weld on brackets are best from SR as there are some really bad ones out there, use GP/SX lower damper bolts and series 3 dampers.
