Yes, I do need advice.
Are you aware of NOVA? Does a Lui 50 need a NOVA?

Nicely done Adam, I bet you're glad you kept it now. Don't leave it too long to get yourself a full license, once you start down the path of two wheel transport it will be something you come back to in later years. It was for me and I wished I'd done the test back in the 80s when I had my chance, it cost plenty when I finally did Sad

Well glad... I wouldn't say glad but I'm certainly pleased that the resto is nearly complete! It's took longer than I anticipated!
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get a speedo that works with the Vega drive (other than the original thing) Ed (Snails) sent me one out but after servicing it I'm struggling to find a speedo cable that works with it.

CBT - DONE! Empty nova

Post  lunaloon Thu Dec 04, 2014 11:59 am

Hi Adam,

yes you will need a NOVA form and number from HMRC... Crying or Very sad done one recently even tho it was a UK bike,i phoned HMRC and explained my situation bought it it uk blah blah and advisor said send in either by internet [need gateway password] or download nova form and post.

I filled it in the best i could and enclosed covering letter explaining my situation and it dropped on the mat after 3 weeks no VAT to pay.

The question is did you buy it in the uk? if so put a copy of reciept in application if you imported then it should have been submited within 14 days of importing.

Cheers

Bike wasn't imported as such, the guy I bought it off brought it over in the back of his van and didn't pay any import tax on it.
I purchased it from him in the UK and have the receipt to prove so.
Just another way of the government making money out of us.
