vega topspeed

had gps on vega today up to 63mph. speedo reading 70mph .my speedo is not that bad. more left I had to slow down for a car .I hadn't got the bottle to overtake I think it may just nudge 70mph if it does that is one genuine quick vega

Nice one Nige     Is that with a dyno set up ? if not you could be in for a lot more. What was the vibration like? At those sort of speeds it makes you wish tubeless tyres were there for us lunatics.

not dyno yet .vibration .I think that what makes them feel hairy .I have had to re tighten fork bearings .handle bars. back. light screws .headset top.and light switch .I might be mixing it with a few series 123s this week if I can get away from work .I find second gear pulls well .picks up and goes .is yours like that .the bike is very peaky .the plug colour is fine .slightly rich if anything but that's safe:twisted: 

I know people have fitted disc brakes,standard set up works well.bring on tubless rims

had a ride out last week with about 50 scoots .vega held its own no bother .I went out with my mate who as a vespa with a 180 polini sport kit about 16 .17 hp he could only pull away from me on hills .I think I surprised a few people on ride out.the vega was liked by people and no negative feed back which is a good thing for a vega.because a lot of people still hate them
