Vega 'fast flow' fuel tap
Does anyone have any thoughts on the standard Vega fuel tap. Does it have a high enough flow for a tuned motor? Can it be 'rebored?' Are there any alternatives?

Re: Vega 'fast flow' fuel tap
Anyone remember that TS1 Vega? Now I bet that drank petrol. If it had a Vega tank on the back end and from memory I think it did then the chap who made it should be able to give you an answer. Cant remember his name but he used to be on LCGB forum. Just an idea
I need to know the answer myself so if you do find out let us know

...yes i need one...i've drilled mine out and fitted a s3 f/f main flow tube and dilled all the internal oriffices...better but it now leaks?...not an ideal solution but it s sorted fuel flow out...I was going to look down the italian motorcycle/race strada....?

The guy who built the ts1 Vega was Mark Gray. He is a welding wizard so may have swapped out the tap spigot for a S3 one. I'll ask him and find out.

Re: Vega 'fast flow' fuel tap
Any further news on this subject? I suspect the hole in the tank for a standard tap will be too small to fit most taps out there, plus it sits so close to the frame. I wonder if you could have a threaded adaptor that screws into the tank with a nut below to tighten onto a tap. Would a standard flow tap be quicker than a standard Vega tap?
I think this could be a worth while upgrade especially for the tuned up brigade.
Anyone invented a fast flow yet???????????????

So it's been awhile since I first posted asking the question on a fast flow tap. Has anyone come up with a solution?

Re: Vega 'fast flow' fuel tap
