J125 into a Lui Advice
Now then, i need some input on an issue i have with my project Lui now that my Vega is back on the road. The 50 engine is no more (long story involving thieving gits ), so with that said i have a J125 (3 speed) engine that has slotted straight in.
The issue i have is getting an exhaust for it as i got hold of an original J125 exhaust but it just doesn't want to fit due to the shape of the Lui being nothing like the J125 (frame clearence and fixing point etc), so what do you suggest as an answer.
I was simply going to get it running and MOT'd before selling it on and moving onto the next project as its already fully registered so if anyone has an answer to get it to this stage or is interested in it as it is then let me know.

Fit a Lui pipe? Might need 'adjusting' to the different port position though

I saw this the other day and thought it looks very simillar to my Kegra pipe

I reckon with a little "fettling" it could work

You would need some support mechanism for that though?

I had something similar on it (modified Fresco i think), however it doesn't allow for a kickstart to be in place so no joy.

Sorry, i'm not making myself clear. I thought it would go on the opposite side, you would need to alter it and weld on a bracket of some kind.

Sorted, if you look at the picture, the bracket loads up the rear suspension to the correct position so thats one ticked off the list
