Front sprocket bolt
So, having recently switched to a new 12t front sprocket that of course doesn't have the cush drive, and seeing said bolt unwind itself whilst on the stand ticking over has anyone Any suggestions to prevent a disaster?
Yes there's thread lock to consider but is there a better way?
I can't understand why rimini would allow such a flakey method when in conjunction with their 135cc kit!! Why don't they produce a cush drive sprocket with less than 13 teeth?
Cheers.

Re: Front sprocket bolt
I applied loctite when I built mine, especially as it is not under tension like with a Cush drive. But, have you checked the threads on your bolt and crank?

Re: Front sprocket bolt
Hi, thanks for the reply. The cush drive bolt is in a1 condition on the threads so i can only presume the crank thread is the same. The bolt i tried was a m7 kickstart bolt without any threadlock. I've bought what i hope is the correct bolt along with the washers, so this ill try with threadlock . I have tested the threadlock solution i have and it works well so i'll be sure to clean all surfaces before i apply it.
I'd just feel more confident with a cush system. Perhaps this final throw of the dice on the 5 speed will work, if not it's out and the 4 speed back in along with the sprocket and the cush drive. Fingers crossed

Have you checked that the bolt isn’t bottoming out in the crank?

Yes i used the probe on my digital vernier to check its depth and it's clear. I'll be sure to check when the bolt i'm waiting on arrives for the same thing. Thanks
