clutch springs
not sure what clutch springs are in my vega.if i need to uprate them what do i get . cheers.

Although the Lambretta clutch system is a little on the weak side 4 the series 3 type
engines, for the j series engines this is not so pronounced because of it's smaller
size of of crownwheel. As it's delivering far less torque, leverage on it's clutch system.
So Mark's MBD series 3 special springs should prove sufficient 4 your purposes but
You can try using liner springs, this gives you twice the number of springs but you must
get the hight right. the inside springs need to be cut a little longer.
I use Vincent clutch springs as liners in my SX never had any slip on a 4 plate but
you may also have to use washers in the locating cups.
MB's lighter one's may well do the trick on a 132 Vega though m8
