So Joey, how did you get on? You get a mention in the latest Jet Set and the way the article reads you were in for a long hard slog.
My hat is off to you for giving it a go fella
It makes me wonder though, with the prices of parts for our machines if you were to drop the bike(easy done by the write up) and say bust a headlight it could turn into an expensive day. It would deffo make me think otherwise about entering.

Hats off Joey for giving it a shot
Being scared to ride a bike in case something gets broke on it imho is an odd line of thought and will just encourage more of the same, pushing the prices of hard to find parts even higher

Gc i kind of see your point, but pure greed is what sends the price of parts skywards. I've mentioned before that people will start to break luna's as the parts can fetch so much, meaning less machines on the road especially when £200+ is the asking price for a headlamp all be it N.O.S.

.............. Madness !!
I have a couple of spares ...... A real decents one i intend using on a scoot im doing and the other needs re-silvering.
May need to remove glass and sort if they are asking that kind of silly money, Money that could be thrown at the scoot
Re: Beamish Trials entrant...
yes .parts are an issue and very pricey at times .i have spent more than enough on mine.and to cut the cost down i painted it my self .not a show winner but respectable job plus it is going to be used and sometimes abused not hidden away. and i was very lucky picking it up very cheap of a mate it was rough though
