Looking for more - already running a Starstream crank, is it easy to fit a TV piston or is there more involved than just having a rebore ?
Thanks in advance, Gary

Perhaps it's one of the "old school" tuning tricks that has got lost due to those that used it dont ride/race anymore and dont post on forums. When doing mine i found getting some answers difficult. I think this piston has been mentioned before it might be a series 2 type but other than that i'm unsure. People might go for the more modern TZR piston, iv'e asked about alternate ones or where to get these TZR ones from with little come back in answers

Funnily enough, I and a mate checked a TV piston against a Starstream barrel yesterday.
We jointly decided it was probably not a good idea to try this at home as the barrel would be wafer thin and that was that really

gc, it is possible, and it does leave the barell thin, never did it myself, but i do think siobhan is doing this.
have a look at Lambretta Performance Tuning and Conversions by ken hearlingshaw (i think thats his last name) it goes into detail on this conversion.
howard chambers told me he did it to a old vega and it was hard to keep the front wheel on the ground in the first two gears.

Any idea where I can get hold of this book Daz ?
I've heard it mentioned before but never got round to getting one.
Any amount of info regarding Vega/Starstream tuning would be handy as any info is hard to get.
Cheers, Gary

I have this little book but don't have a scanner, i can maybe take a picture of the section and post it up, or failing then then dictate it from the book.
Re: More cc's required
Kind of scrub that as i will try to take some pictures of it as i have just had a look and there are some pictures for reference plus there is too much to dictate
Re: More cc's required
Think I might have a soft copy somewhere
