Has anyone out there got any 1mm cylinder packer plates for a Vega?

I made my own, simple enough if you can get the right thickness alloy. Just use the base gasket to get the opening shapes and remember to make your plate slightly bigger on the outside. Then slide it on over the studs put the cyl on and mark round the outer edge of the cyl and job done. you'll need a dremmel type tool and a small file, or hacksaw blade with the plate in a vice.
Your local DIY might have the alloy/aluminium

Out of curiosity, Why do you want it?

Looking to open up the existing bore to 49/50mm and so have been trying to find a suitable piston. Finally found one which might be suitable but it has a crown height of 18mm so am thinking I might require a 1mm packer as I am of the opinion the existing piston has a crown height of 17mm. Any further suggestions/recommendations any one has regarding a suitable piston would be much appreciated.

Ah I see, I've no ideas about alternative pistons I'm afraid.
