Re: Is this a Vega horn?
Vega horns have a chamfered back to allow them to sit against the frame clearing the leg shields. So this is not original. Depending on how particular you are, if this can be fitted in and it's 6v AC , it could be OK.

Re: Is this a Vega horn?
ive used normal horns in the past, can be a tight fit, but I found that cutting a slot in the outer rim of the horn and clamping it between the mounts works fine, and there by far easier to find / replace than a genuine Vega horn

Thanks. From this, it looks like Rimini work on a similar "adaptation"

No, that's just the decorative cover. It's the main body that's special.

Thanks very much, Steve. A picture paints a thousand words
Half of the bracket for the horn on my frame has broken off anyway. At some stage in the next couple of months I'll have to get the frame and leggies down from the loft to have a new front strut welded on. I'll have a mess around with the horn then.

Whilst your at it with the welder. Check the alignment and integrity of the main crossmember. They're very prone to fracturing due the people sitting on the bike with the stand down and/or riding off the stand.

Good shout. I'll get it all blasted first too so I can see what it looks like under the rather heavy paintwork.
