can someone post a phot of the tail of a vega exhaust please?
mines got the end plate missing, If I know what it looks like I can probably make one . . .unless anyones got one ( unlikely!)

Re: vega exhaust
thats it, thanks . . . I've made one with tin snips, and bolted it in, having chopped the middle baffle out we're a bit loud, but it sounds good, to me if not the neigbourhood!
Re: vega exhaust
Let me know if it doesn't work as i might have a spare NOS one in my box of goodies in the garage
Re: vega exhaust
How did you cut the baffel out? In other words at which point did you cut the pipe open? You couldn't post a pic of the welded up hole?

Re: vega exhaust
the inside of the exhaust was peppered with holes ( what you get for £25 these days) so I took a bit of a guess and attacked it with a grinder! its all on th rear/inside so barely noticable.
I have another one which has been butchered, I'll cut that as well and take some pics . . . I'm thinking of trying to add a muffler on the end to shut it up a bit!

Re: vega exhaust
By god I've had one of those in a box of bits since 1980 when I was ferkin around with the J125 conversion (2 sacks of J125 engines for 3 squid ) can I have more please?).
trouble is I'm now in Colombia,South America with a Vega 140 cc(me thinks compression is wicked) and looking into the inlet port it's no J piston.

Re: vega exhaust
Also to mention I bought in 1979/80 a brand new Vega one piece exhaust from Reghams of York (Can't believe I poached that from Tom Petch's backyard) for ............£7 still with the Innocenti sticker.
Here's the sickening thing ,I later had to cut it a little for the J125 conversion.

Re: vega exhaust
i also had a 1 piece vega exhaust, a pain to fit, i also cut mine for a 125 conversion.
i'm not 100% sure if they were ever intended for a vega though, as i have seen two genuine lui50 s models, (both from sweeden) and they both had a 1 piece vega type exhaust.
