Ducati Firefly electronic ignition
I appreciate that they are fairly new to the market but has anyone any real life experience of them to share please?

Unfortunately not. I've a home made AF flywheel based ignition - which has been reliable so far . There are other alternatives too such as the external pickup which people have done

Fiorefly
At present folk seem to be building their CP One35 based engines and any 'testing' by them probably won't happen until into the New Year. John Walklate has one of them but at present we haven't tested it.

I'm like Ed and have the home made 12V ignition. It might involve having the flywheel turned down an a bit of fannying about but it's been reliable up to now and below half the price of the firefly. Another advantage of the homebrew kit is spares. Like the varitronic I would doubt your going to get a LT coil replacement, no matter what you may hear. Resulting in a new stator (I have 3 varitronic stators like this and no replacement coil available) perhaps sometimes the past of least resistance isn't always the best way to go

I don’t like to be the guinea pig tester but I also like the look of it. It’ll be the Spring before I buy. Maybe, there’ll be more road miles been done by then.
