My New Cometa
That's my new Cometa, recently purchased at *bay. Came from second owner, registered September ´70 and off the road since ´76.
First kick starter, everything complete except the headlamp rim (...as usual - anyone got a decent one to trade?).
Lubematic system complete and working as is the rest of the bike.
Already dismanteld now and nearly on the way for blasting & painting.
I'll post some pictures of the Lubematic system later as this might interest some more Lunatics.

Cometa
Nice looking scooter with its London (XE) reg number. Do you have the original log book? If so, where was it bought from?
Re: My New Cometa
Thanks!
According the details given by the owner the bike came from Luton originally.
I "only" got the V5 doc and user manual with it , so unfortunately no information about the dealer.
It was MOT serviced at "Davies Bros" in Wilstead/Bedford, no idea if this was an official Lambretta dealer...
About the price...it's only money, isn't it?
I paid exactly 1000gbp and I got exactly what I wanted, a complete bike unmessed with - so for me it was a good price.
The Cometas don't turn up that often and over here it's impossible to find one.
So the question is up to you - was it a good price???
