25 cylinder cowling
I'm using the 125 barrel set on one of the Vegas- I know the 75 cowling won't fit (tried it) so I'm guessing I need a J125 cowling yes? How easy do they fix to the engine casing or do they need any adjustment/ redrilling?
Plus- has anyone got one?

No adjustment to fitting. The first time you go over a bump it'll fit even better!

Yes, you might want to put a crease in the cowl where it would contact the frame just to give a little more clearanceScooter Paul wrote:No adjustment to fitting. The first time you go over a bump it'll fit even better!

Have you looked at Scooter Restorations? They have a J range Sunny head cowl @ £15

Re: 25 cylinder cowling
I got a j125 cowl years back from scooter restorations, the hole for the plug was miles out, I managed to clean up a starstream one I had and it fitted perfect.
my advice is try it before you paint it.
as for the cylinder cowl groove, I took off my back shocker and marked the cowl where it would touch the frame, then put a socket along the line and gave it a good whack, it left a nice smooth indentation.
