Even though i have had this booked for 3 bloody weeks, they call and tell me this now when im supposed to collect it at 4pm. The clown on the phone said i can have a flatbed, i told him its needed to take a scooter to an event and he said "can't you just pick it up and put it on the back"
If i can't get one from somewhere else at this short notice then im going to have to try and ride down as a last resort, so who knows if i will make it as only done about a 15 mile round trip at any one time and its about 45 -50 miles each way from where i live between Uttoxeter and Stafford.

Cheers nige thats a cracking gesture but its right out your way mate for such an early start so im going to give it a stab and try and ride it. Door to door its 50 miles so im going to have a go with an early start.
Wouldn't turn down a lift back mind so happy to pay you as i think 100 mile round trip's pushing it but if its out your way then no worries as i live in a place called Hixon.

You'll be surprised how quick 50 miles on a Vega goes !
Definitely not a daunting prospect so enjoy
A few more people riding them for people to see them properly and not just IN a show environment can only be a good thing and definitely should be encouraged IMHO.

Great day
Well done everyone, a great turnout and a big pat on the back to Waddo, Ricey, joey and Gareth for riding their machines all the way there and back Also congratulations to Waddo and Gareth for bringing home the trophys, well done lads. It was also great to meet new member Scooter Paul, with his Allan Kene ex racer. Watch out for a feature in Scootering Magazine
It was nice to meet up with all you guys, including Nige, E type and others whose names escape me it was really busy round our display for most of the day, i think we generated quite a lot of public interest.
Here's to Bridlington later in the year
A big THANK YOU, to Servetta paul for making the stickers especially at short notice,

..hey i'm back on.....
enjoyed the vmsc event, meetin a few of you n chattin...good display, well organised and set up thanks to all who made an effort to make it happen and look good.....enjoyed the arduous ride there n back [90 miles] even more with my 'lambretta pals' wado n ricey....anyway I think my NOS crank is now cream crackered as the rattle its developed is more than just the snapped exhaust heat shield bracket...

...typical Lambretta..ran out of fuel 500yds from petrol station, thanks for for the tow ricey. Noticed a bit of rattle...waddo laughed 'don't worry it's just your crank rattling!' anyway plenty of full throttle all the way home...i was going to pypass the arduous long gradients of the A61 north of Chesterfield but it flew...anyway got me home...quality...
