Right, due to the f**kin Olympics, royal visits and my normal work load I haven't even had time to sort this out. Anyone w idling to be the central point of contact? Free LOC 10th anniversary mug to the willing participant. Work also means that I won't be at the event BUT I am willing to pay for and supply Leggie banners with the 10th anniversary logo on them.
Re: VMSC 2012 & Brid 2012
So did anyone take up the point of contact thing? Just what would this involve as time's getting on. How many are a deffinate entry then, anymore on the six mentioned earlier?
What sort of stuff should we take to display other than the bikes? I'm going to try with a few posters/adverts in frames or is that unnecessary.
I'm looking forward to this event

So it's getting close (about a fortnight away) and it's too quiet on this thread. If i am to do what ever as a club needs doing, i need to know what that is
It would be a good starting point for names of who's a definate entrant.
It would also be a good idea if anyone has any ideas what they want out of the day, i'm not too good with instructing people, i dont want to be held as a authorty jumped up bossy t**t.
Also if anyone intends to take anything to display other than a scoot.
Come on Luna people let's be a hearing from you

Re: VMSC 2012 & Brid 2012
i'm definately going, got my shift swap at work confirmed today
i will be taking the vega, i doubt i will get time to register it though, as i have lots of stuff to do between then and now.
i'm sure littlemoon is also going, certainly hope so as he's giving me a lift
i had several ideas as to various things i'd like to show / display with my scooter unfortunately time restraints means it wont be happening, perhaps next year though.

Thackers, I would suggest an e-mail to the VMSC (either Ian Harrop or Brian Crook) to see what position they have in the venue for the LOC. They will also be able to tell you how many Lunatics have registered to enter the show. I'm not at this show but will be at Brid - no thanks to the poxy Olympics which is nice for being told no leave (until after the olympics!)

Re: VMSC 2012 & Brid 2012
Hi Ricey, i was talking to a couple of your mates today at the YSA K'boro to York meeting, one of them was looking for a number plate holder and the other had a genuine paint vega in Orange .
As for times, the official request is setting up times are between 8am and 9:45am. You should have recieved booking confirmation by now with all details and passes, dont forget the passes or you might loose your place. A bit nearer the time i'll P.M my mobile number to everyone who confirms there attending just in case contact is needed.

So hopefully we have 6 entries for the 15th, i've sent my mobile number with a P.M to those who have said there going just in case we need to be in contact.
Do we have any members who are planning to go to the show on the day? This event gives us the chance to put names to faces, have a chat etc. The show is a great day out, differing from the usual scooter "custom" shows where Vespa and Lambretta take centre stage.

Re: VMSC 2012 & Brid 2012
I might have a little bit of a problem for tomorrow in that i have just been let down by the van hire company i had booked a van with as they are now telling me that they have nothing availabe with any fixing points but can offer me a flatbed
Even though i have had this booked for 3 bloody weeks, they call and tell me this now when im supposed to collect it at 4pm. The clown on the phone said i can have a flatbed, i told him its needed to take a scooter to an event and he said "can't you just pick it up and put it on the back"
If i can't get one from somewhere else at this short notice then im going to have to try and ride down as a last resort, so who knows if i will make it as only done about a 15 mile round trip at any one time and its about 45 -50 miles each way from where i live between Uttoxeter and Stafford.

Cheers nige thats a cracking gesture but its right out your way mate for such an early start so im going to give it a stab and try and ride it. Door to door its 50 miles so im going to have a go with an early start.
Wouldn't turn down a lift back mind so happy to pay you as i think 100 mile round trip's pushing it but if its out your way then no worries as i live in a place called Hixon.
